Janet Kelsey has a professional singing career,  teacher and conductor. As a viola soloist, Janet has performed with many choral societies across the UK. She was a member of the prestigious vocal quintet,Voices in Concert and appeared on BBC Television. She headed a series of music departments and also taught voice, harmony and counterpoint at the University of Hull. She was responsible for delivering the academic program at Gresham's school as well as conducting the Girls' Choirs of the String Orchestra and the Junior Jazz Group. Today, she is a freelance music teacher and head ofchoir.

She divides her musical time between France andEngland where she directs anotherchoir.
