Where is the rehearsal room?We rehearse in the large annex room behind the Civray town hall. This room has very good acoustic sound and is very well heated in winter. In the near future a new room will be made available to us next to the Civray vocational school.

What day and what are the rehearsal times?Every Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. except during school periods. Regularity in attending rehearsals is essential and punctuality is highly appreciated.

I don't know which desk to place myself in.Only the Choir Director is able to place you in the pulpit that best suits you. But, out of curiosity, you can test your range by clicking below.

Do you sing only in French?No, not only. We sang in English, Latin, Ukrainian, Japanese, Spanish, Russian etc... Of course, for those who do not practice the language of the proposed song, the solution is to sing phonetically. Which opens up all the possibilities. We even sang in an invented language (Adiemus by Karl Jenkis) which shows you the eclecticism of our palette.

What is the amount of the contribution?The amount of the annual subscription (September to June) is 75€/person. It is reduced to 140€ for a couple. It can be paid in 3 installments. The first two rehearsals are free.

Do I have to pay for the scores?The scores of the songs studied are provided by the choir but you can print them for yourself by going to the area "espace choriste" accessible only to members registered by password.

What is the average age of the singers?The age of the choristers is not a criterion for membership but is currently between 35 and 88 years old. To enjoy singing, age is not a factor.

How often are the concerts?As a general rule we do 1 concert per month. Our services, since the 2023/2024 season, have been subject to an entry fee. Or €4/person. Free for children under twelve. Our services regarding charitable associations are free.

Is concert attire provided?No. The choristers are responsible for the outfit, white blouse, black skirt or pants, black closed shoes for women, white shirt, black pants and black shoes for men. A cockade or scarf in the colors of Civray as well as a black binder are provided by the choir.
